What does “un cafecito riquito… bonito bonito” refer to?
“Un cafecito riquito… bonito bonito” is the opening of the Bonito Bonito song, and Bonito Bonito AI turns the dance that goes with it into a 15-second video from one photo. If you heard the line in a clip and typed it into a search box to find the dance, you are in the right place. Make the video from your photo.
The three phrases
The dance acts out three short phrases of the song, and these are the only lines we quote. The caption of the post that started the trend reads like a little wish for the day, and the three phrases come straight from it.
| Phrase | Means | What the baby acts out |
|---|---|---|
| “un cafecito riquito” | a tasty little coffee | A pretend sip from a tiny invisible cup, with an “oo” face |
| “un abracito calientito” | a warm little hug | Both arms cross over the chest in a self-hug, eyes closed |
| “un rayito de sol” | a little ray of sun | A quarter turn, a sway and a hand at the cheek, ending on a smile |
The “bonito bonito” part
“Bonito” means pretty. In the middle of the song the baby frames their cheeks with both hands and tilts the head from side to side with a cheeky grin, the longest move of the dance. That is the moment most people copy, and it is why the trend is called Bonito Bonito even though the song opens on the coffee.
How the moves fit the 15 seconds
In a Bonito Bonito AI video the routine runs in this order:
- Cafecito (0.0–2.5s): One hand cups an invisible little coffee, the other holds the saucer; two tiny sips with an “oo” face.
- Bounce (2.5–4.5s): Fists curl at the chest and the knees bounce on the beat, eyes on the camera.
- Bonito (4.5–9.0s): Both hands frame the cheeks under the chin; head tilts left and right with a cheeky grin.
- Shimmy (9.0–10.0s): The arms drop and the shoulders shake once before the hug.
- Abracito (10.0–13.5s): Arms cross over the chest in a big self-hug, eyes close, a happy squeeze.
- Rayito de sol (13.5–15.0s): A quarter turn and a sway to the side, one hand at the cheek, ending on a smile.
Why this lyric gets searched
The phrases are easy to remember and hard to spell, so people type them in different ways. Searches for the artist peak in Cuba, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico, and “un cafecito riquito riquito” is among the rising queries. Behind all of them is the same wish: find the dance and see it with their own baby in it.
Make the cafecito look
The Cafecito Riquito Cardigan dance recreates the look of the first clip that took off, and you can also pick any of the other six from the dance list. The song comes mixed into the file, so there is nothing to add afterwards. Bonito Bonito AI is independent and not affiliated with Thiago Navarro Music. For who made the song, read the song page.
Tips for a good cafecito clip
The first move is a tiny sip from a cup that is not there, so the face matters most in the opening seconds. A sharp photo where your baby looks at the camera gives the sweetest “oo” face. Use your own child, yourself or your own pet; other people’s children, nudity or bath photos, and celebrities are not allowed. Results vary, and you can try another dance if the first one does not look like your baby.
